MalaysiaCheng Jian Hao
Jian Hao is a senior Java backend engineer with 10 years of experience, specialising in backend engineering, distributed systems, microservices, high-concurrency processing, and financial technology platforms.
His core stack spans Java 8–21 with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and MyBatis. He designs REST APIs, service architecture, domain models, and reusable backend components, and applies distributed-systems patterns including event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, idempotency, and distributed locking and caching — with Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ for messaging and event streaming.
For high-concurrency systems, he works with Java multithreading, CompletableFuture, ExecutorService, thread-pool optimisation, and concurrent collections to build fast, reliable services.
A particularly strong area is financial and trading technology. He has built systems involving KYC, AML, identity verification, trading-triggered promotions, participant eligibility, rebate and commission calculations, multi-currency onboarding, and third-party financial integrations — including concurrent financial calculation services that use multithreading and asynchronous processing while maintaining exact-decimal accuracy.
Jian Hao has hands-on experience with a global platform supporting more than 40 million trading accounts, giving him exposure to large-scale production systems and their demands on scalability, reliability, concurrency, and performance. He has designed Kafka-based event-driven platforms, asynchronous workflows, distributed services, and real-time analytics pipelines using Apache Flink and Apache Doris, and improved performance through Redis caching, MySQL, Oracle, and AWS Aurora database and index optimisation, JVM tuning, and distributed locking.
Beyond implementation, he owns architecture and technical design, leads code and architecture reviews, and mentors backend engineers while driving improvements to engineering standards. He also applies AI to software-engineering workflows, including designing a project-specific AI coding harness intended to standardise development practices and improve delivery consistency.
He is best characterised as a backend-first senior engineer whose strongest value lies in designing and building scalable, reliable, and performance-sensitive backend systems — particularly those involving financial transactions, event-driven architectures, high-volume processing, complex integrations, and enterprise platforms.
